We have driven to Yungaburra and have parked the caravan in the front yard of our friends Ron and Shirley North for a few nights to clean and prepare the caravan to travel into the outback.

Here are some videos that Chris has taken of some of the roads that we have been driving along with and without the caravan over the past week.

The first video is returning from Cape Tribulation back towards the Daintree Ferry crossing. In places the trees are right up to the bitumen and leaning over the road.

Below is the setup we have for the driver when towing the caravan. Note the following items:

  • Tom Tom
  • Rear Camera on the back of the Caravan.
  • Mobile phone Speedometer
  • Memory Stick with music for when there are no radio channels

This next video is while towing the caravan of a Cane Train that we stopped for soon after leaving Wonga Beach on our way to Mossman before while heading for Yungaburra.

The last video is towing the Caravan climbing the Great Dividing Range along the Kennedy Hwy from Mossman to Mount Molloy. The road is rated for 23 metre long B-double trucks so not a problem.
