On Saturday with the weather having dried up a bit we decided to spend the day at the Historic Village in Herberton. See: https://www.historicvillageherberton.com.au/
One thing we discovered is that there is an awful lot of things to see. If you are into old machines and vehicles you really need to take advantage of the three day pass which is included in the standard price. This would give you the time to see them running some of the old motor bikes, cars and tractors.
We walked out legs off, omitting the train trip, the pioneer camp and mining sites. Unfortunately the restaurant is COVID closed at the moment but drinks and sandwiches were available at the entrance shop.
We took our own lunch and ate it in one of the sitting areas that was outside the old school house. By the end of the day we were glad to get back to the caravan and recover from museum overload.
