Toowoomba is our first stop for the Australia Day long weekend with temperatures approaching 40c today, Australia Day.
There was a very steep climb, 10% gradient, to get up the hill. The Ranger made it up with the caravan in 1st gear without over heating.
We are staying at the Toowoomba Show Grounds where an equestrian event was being held over the weekend. Beautiful horses and some truely astonishing rigs for the horses and owners.

We did some sight seeing at the picnic lookout that looks out over the hill we climbed.

On our last day in Toowoomba we visited the Japanese Gardens and enjoyed a peaceful walk around the trails enjoying the birds and turtles that abound.
After a coffee at a Munch Cafe and a stroll around the shops before collecting parts from Snowy River Toowoomba. We dined out at the Hockey Club which turned out too need packed. It was a lovely meal before hitting the road in the morning.
