Today I have replace the anemometer as the wind speed readings have been unreliable for a long time. Previously I have been replacing the reed switch that triggers the wind speed readings but after a short period of tend to stick causing reading to stop. Several years ago I purchased a second hand weatherstation to use as spare parts. Over Christmas I prepared the anemometer to replace the existing one as it requred some wiring modification for installation. Already I can see the improvement as it is registering in a very light breeze. It was installed at 09:54 which is when a test spin of 23.8km/h was recorde. |
